Publishing and sharing: Getting your employees to showcase their know-how

Employee-generated Learning publishing and sharing

A critical factor in the success of any Employee-generated Learning (EGL) is the ease with which content can be released to learners once it’s been cleared for publication.

Easygenerator allows you to fully automate this process – for example by authorizing SMEs to publish their content at the click of a button. You can also introduce an additional layer of quality control by first requiring L&D sign-off before any content is published.

Whichever process you choose, the system prevents SMEs from directly interfering with your LMS or any other information technology.

SMEs may choose to publish their courses on the Easygenerator cloud or under the company's own hosting umbrella. They can also upload it on the corporate LMS, embed it on a website, or sell it via Coggno. The software’s flexibility and compatibility across a wide range of devices can help users generate significant exposure and recognition from both inside and outside their existing networks.

By using the “Author’s bio” block, SMEs can add a short biography to demonstrate their credibility on a particular topic. Or they can use it to share their contact details. This gives learners a chance to find out a little more about the author and/or get in touch.

Easygenerator also has a number of functionalities which make sharing and showcasing content as easy as possible. These include:

  • Embedding content. This option allows you to generate a code which can then be used to embed a course on your website.

  • Sharing a private link. Easygenerator’s default setting stores content on our own server. You can give learners access via a private link which they can copy into their browser.

  • Selling your course. You can sell your course via Coggno – an online training marketplace and LMS.

  • Publishing on your LMS. Courses can be published within your LMS by downloading it as a SCORM 1.2 package.

  • Publishing on your own hosting system. This option allows you to publish content on your web server or cloud storage by downloading it as an HTML package.

By clicking the Share button at the top of the course editor, Easygenerator will generate a private link or embedded code at any given time.
