Course creation made easy

We know how difficult it can be sometimes to get started. Easygenerator, therefore, follows a number of basic steps designed to make it as easy as possible for subject matter experts (SMEs) to produce their own e-learning content.

SMEs may decide to build a course from scratch, or indeed use one of Easygenerator’s popular examples. These are great educational courses which apply the same methods as seasoned instructional designers, and which can be used as templates to improve the impact of an SME’s own course.

The example templates make it less daunting for them to get started and can easily be tailored to suit their specific requirements.

Learning objectives

Having a clear goal or a set of learning objectives in mind from the very beginning is key when producing a high-quality e-learning course. Easygenerator reminds SMEs to frame their learning objectives at the beginning of each course and each section. This informs them to stay on track while making sure content is kept as focused as possible. Our authoring tool includes a Learning Objective Maker which supports SMEs in creating meaningful objectives.  

Linear content creation process

Easygenerator encourages a five-step linear process when producing content. Our course editor tool will guide SMEs through this process. Changes are automatically saved and the course can be previewed at any given time.

Course structure and syntax

Each course has a ready-made structure which includes an intro section, a main body and an outro – along with instructions relating to each of those sections. When SMEs start creating a course, the editor tool will automatically launch the default didactic structure to guide them.      

Curation

Easygenerator allows SMEs to compile and curate a list of resources they’ve read or referred to as part of their content creation. It also encourages them to add context to any of their chosen resources, thus helping learners gain a better perspective.

Collaboration

Easygenerator allows you to collaborate with other members of your team. SMEs can add co-authors and share their courses for peer review without the need for additional sign-ups of setup. 

Content, question and layout blocks

SMEs can choose from six content layout tabs for aligning text, images and other media. There’s also a range of assessment types available. Clicking the ‘+’ icon in the drag-and-drop editor will allow you to add further elements.
