Co-creation: Enabling employees to collaborate and speed up content creation

Employee-generated Learning co-creation

Testimonial: “Seamless course collaboration and the option to review notes are all included in the Easygenerator system.”

Social collaboration, sharing assets and pooling resources are important requirements for today's workforce. Together, they also represent some of the most sought-after features in the social learning space.

Easygenerator supports this type of social learning and collaborative content creation in a number of ways.

Co-authoring

Easygenerator’s co-authoring and peer review options are great for SMEs who want to collaborate. They’re also helpful tools for L&D teams seeking to co-create alongside their SMEs.  Additional authors can be added at any stage and even those who don’t use Easygenerator can be invited via email.

Peer Review

To improve the workflow of collaborative content creation, Easygenerator has introduced an updated review system. Alongside co-authoring, SMEs can now also request external reviewers to assess their course – even if those reviewers do not have an Easygenerator account themselves.  Or they can simply send a course link to anyone they want to consult with.

Tagging

Authors can add tags to their courses. These are keywords used to describe the course. For example, if you tag your “Onboarding New Employees” course as “onboarding”, you'll be able to quickly find it among any other e-learning resources which are tagged as such. This helps authors and co-authors search and navigate through a list of courses. It is a particularly helpful feature for teams that work on multiple modules and tools as it allows them to use and reuse content as they see fit.

Reuse sections

Easygenerator allows SMEs to reuse or customize previous content and pages. If a page includes questions, the software can generate quizzes which are based on those questions.  The ‘Existing Sections’ feature enables SMEs to reuse a piece of content in another course. Authors do not duplicate the content, which means that if they make changes in either the original or the reused section, those changes will apply to both. This reduces maintenance efforts and supports scalability.

Corporate library

Our authoring tool enables knowledge being made available as part of a commonly accessible repository. While the tool already supports a digital library, our team is currently building a ‘Corporate Library’ feature which in the future will allow administrators to manage common media assets across teams.
